With a compassionate heart and a jovial personality, Rev. Billie Cox, is an extraordinary and highly sought after preacher, teacher, conference leader and administrator of the Word of God and the affairs of ministry. Called of God to be a “preaching midwife” she empowers others reach into the womb of their purpose and give birth.

Rev. Cox, deems fellowship, community and accountability of significant importance, she has served the community as a member of Baptist Women in Ministry, One Voice Newton, United Rockdale Summit and on the board of directors for Family Promise of NewRock. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2013 Spirit Award presented by the Rockdale Chambers of Commerce, the 2013 Civic Engagement Award presented by the Rockdale Newton Chapter of Georgia Federation of Democratic Women and the 2014 Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus Servant Leadership Award.

Throughout her educational endeavors, Rev. Cox has earned a B.S. Degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercer University, Atlanta, GA where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and is a candidate for a Master of Divinity Degree at Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology in December 2012. She believes firmly in John Maxwell’s Law of the Lid, “you can only lead to the level you are on.” To that end she is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Ministry at Luther Rice Seminary and University.

Rev. Cox serves as the Senior Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Conyers, GA. This Trailblazer is the first female to serve as Pastor of a historic Baptist church in Rockdale County. Prior to coming to Macedonia she served as the Director of Church Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Eric W. Lee at Springfield Baptist Church, Conyers, GA. Chief amidst all that she does is her role as wife of Minister Lemuel Cox and mother to her children.
